Competitive Exclusion Probiotics
With the use of competitive exclusion probiotics, beneficial bacteria introduced by the product colonize the bird’s intestinal segments, acting against pathogens such as Salmonella spp., Escherichia coli pathogenic strains, Clostridium perfringens, etc. that cause diseases and decrease performance. The master seed was obtained from intestinal microbiota of adult SPF (Specific Pathogen Free) birds and certified as free from pathogenic agents.
Multiple Strains Probiotics
The Colostrum® Bio21 line was developed after 160 lactic acid bacterial strains were tested, 47 strains were selected due to their ability to adhere to the intestinal mucosa, to inhibit pathogenic bacteria as Salmonella Enteritidis, pathogenic E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus, and to be cultured under laboratory conditions. After the tests, 21 strains were elected to be used in the Colostrum® Bio21 line of products.
